Under the directives of MoHEH, RDA has initiated a study to find out a suitable road corridor to construct the expressway from Kadawatha to Dambulla via Kurunegala under Central Expressway Project (CEP) with a link to Kandy under the phase 1 of the project, considering present and future development scenarios of the country. The much awaited Lotus Tower (Nelum Kuluna) is scheduled to open in this year,2018 adding another icon to the island nation.With the investment of US$ 104.3 million and funded by Chinese EXIM bank, the tower would firstly offer facilities to enhance the digital infrastructure of Sri Lanka.
