Central Expressway Colombo-Kandy

Under the directives of MoHEH, RDA has initiated a study to find out a suitable road corridor to construct the expressway from Kadawatha to Dambulla via Kurunegala under Central Expressway Project (CEP) with a link to Kandy under the phase 1 of the project, considering present and future development scenarios of the country. Sri Lanka recognized as Asia’s Leading Adventure Tourism Destination

The 25th edition of the annual World Travel Awards 2018 which is recognized globally as the ultimate hallmark of quality, with winners setting the benchmark to which all others aspire saw Sri Lanka as being awarded Asia’s Leading Adventure Tourism Destination at a gala ceremony.

The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau was awarded as “The Asia’s Leading Adventure Tourism Destination 2018” at the ceremony. The award was received by Dehan Seneviratna, Chairman and Prasad Daluwatte, Director Events of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau. Read more »

Lotus tower Sri Lanka opening 2018

Lotus Tower to open soon
The much awaited Lotus Tower (Nelum Kuluna) is scheduled to open in this year,2018 adding another icon to the island nation.With the investment of US$ 104.3 million and funded by Chinese EXIM bank, the tower would firstly offer facilities to enhance the digital infrastructure of Sri Lanka. Standing at over 350 meters tall making it the world’s 19th tallest tower it would also serve as a major tourist attraction. At present Over 96% of construction has now been completed. Read more »
